About us
Welcome to arenaplayer.com, the first online polo store oriented to the arena polo player.

I began this endeavor a while ago as I was managing the operations at a local Southern California Polo Club. Many of my students needed Polo equipment at a cost effective level for beginners, and that was not easy to find in the glamorous world of Polo unless you were to settle for used equipment.

Today after an extensive research among Polo manufacturers I considered myself lucky to be able to find good quality products and offer great deals to the polo enthusiasts in the region.

Some people ask frequently: What is the difference between arena and outdoor polo equipment? The answer is: "VERY FEW" An example: the Arena Polo Team shirts are numbered from 1 through 3 instead the outdoors are from 1 through 4. The balls in the arena Polo are inflatable and the outdoor are smaller and solid hard plastic or wood. The "pick up stick" has to be different according to the balls and so the bag to hold the balls.

The arena players can get away with horses that are handier rather than faster. Some people will say that mallets for the arena need to be stiffer than the ones used in the outdoor game, but I say that the main difference between indoor and outdoor is not in the equipment but in the individuals who participate in it.

Arena Polo is an ideal place to learn the game the fastest, easier and safer way there is. The students of an arena club have several advantages. Watching a practice or a lesson is easier to follow because of the closer distance. In the outdoor games the distance is so great that viewers lose the performance of good plays and concentration in the game.

Kids, women, and any type of beginner player in polo will enjoy of a much complete support from the cheering peers and family members in an arena environment than in any open field.
The economic commitment of a polo student/beginner shouldn't be the same of an advanced player. When a student is in the need of a good calm horse shouldn't pay professional prices for it and we will be of help for that type of need, and also for equipment and services related to Polo activities. arenaplayer.com has a business commitment with the Polo enthusiast and that is to match your need with the most convenient option to obtain your best future in Polo.

My name is Duilio Cosenza, my friends call me Leo. I've been around Polo since 1987. I have travel to Argentina many times and send tourist to watch the Famous Argentine Polo Open Championship since 1996. Palermo is the greatest place to watch professional Polo in the whole world. I will continue organize Polo vacations not only to Argentina but also to other places like England, France, Brazil etc.

I invite you to look around my store, see some of the newest arrivals in polo equipment, videos, DVDs, activities, clothing and gifts, and please if you have a comments, I'll be delighted to hear from you.
